Dharma Rims was one of those logical extensions that came from simply being curious.
Buddhist prayer wheels have been used around monasteries, in homes and along public paths for centuries. Wrapped in hundreds of mantras and prayers, they’re said to help balance karma, promote peace and add to the well-being of each individual that turns them. Why not move this power into wheels that we turn everyday to get where we’re going? If effective, they wouldn’t only help us lead better lives, but they’d add a dose of unexpected style to out particular rides.
With a little bit of research, I uncovered rules of positioning that would render the concept applicable to our modern day vehicles, while much experimentation lead to not only a design that would easily adapt from bike to stroller to car wheels, but withstand millions of rotations per year through intense weather conditions.
